Henderson’s Liverpool Future is Uncertain
Jordan Henderson’s future at Anfield is reportedly in doubt amid contract extension talks failing to make progress, while Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Atletico Madrid are ready to snatch him.
The Liverpool captain joined the club from Sunderland in 2011, and has since led the team to both Premier League and Champions League glory during the last 10 years at Anfield.
However, his current deal is due to expire in 2023 and the midfielder could make a surprising exit – since Liverpool is reportedly prioritising the contract extensions of Alisson, Fabinho and Virgil van Dijk.
Mauricio Pochettino, PSG boss, is said to be monitoring the midfielder’s deal negotiation progress, as he has always been a huge fan of Henderson’s aggressive style.
Additionally, Atletico Madrid are keen to reunite Henderson with former teammate Luis Suarez.
Despite exit rumours, Liverpool are reportedly set to tie their legend down to a new contract that could see him end his career at Anfield.
